Introduction
In today’s world gaming is one of the best entertainment it is sure it can get addictive but it is way fun than sports in my opinion. Every year there are new games that are being released with their futuristic graphics and storlines. Like this year there are many different games coming. The recent one that came out this year that I know of is the new DLC for Elden Ring. However, the game that I am talking about today caught my eye from the trailer it is magnificent the graphic is so realistic and the combat and the bosses are so cool. The game I am talking about is Black Myth: Wukong.
What is this game about?
Black Myth: Wukong is a action role playing game developed by Game science. This game is inspired by a Chinese novel from the 16th centaury called Journey to the west. Black Myth: Wukong is going to playable on PlayStation 5 and windows on August 20 2024 and later be also available Xbox series X/S. According to some people there been expected that the Black Myth ’series, in future, will explore different Chinese mythology. The main character in the storyline is a monkey known as the Destined one, based on Sun wukong from the novel which the player will control. Wukong, the main character, uses a staff as his primary weapon known as Ruyi Jingu Bang. The player can use the character's different abilities and spells, like transformation spells that turn the character into another creature or being.
Journey to the west( The novel)
Let’s talk about novel from which the game is inspired from to understand the story to expect from the game. Journey to the West is a classic Chinese novel from long ago. It's about a monk named Xuan Zang and his friends: Sun Wukong, a clever monkey; Zhu Bajie, who looks like a pig; and Sha Wujing, a quiet monk. They travel to India to get sacred books for Buddhism. Along the way, they face many challenges from gods, demons, and other creatures. The story teaches about friendship, facing problems, and becoming a better person. It's full of adventures, funny moments, and lessons about life. The novel is famous for its imaginative characters and teachings that have inspired people for centuries. From this we could expect same characters as the novel involving in the story or some of them. According to me I don’t think this novel would in all have the same story as the game but some parts perhaps. I also think the storyline in the game could also be the continuous part of the novel.
Conclusion
Black Myth: Wukong it has really caught my eyes and I can’t wait to try it and also I hope this becomes the game of the year I know there are more better games coming this year but this really excites. After talking about the novel we can guess a lot of aspects of the game that is going to be present in the game. But I hope it turns out as great as I seen it in the trailer.
